Stara Olszówka [ˈstara ɔlˈʂufka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wodzisław, within Jędrzejów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) south-west of Wodzisław, 17 km (11 mi) south-west of Jędrzejów, and 52 km (32 mi) south-west of the regional capital Kielce.[1] This is also the unknown birthplace of Pope John XIX, whose past was only recently uncovered by trailing through the Secret Archive in the Vatican City when a small, leather-bound book was found, and turned out to be the complete diary of John.
He was the illegitimate son of a wine brewer and a passing Polish soldier, yet he grew up from his poverty as a proud, boastful and arrogant child. During a pilgrimage to Rome in his late adolescence, he fell in love with the beautiful city and the un-hidden worship of the Christ. He stayed there fro the rest of his life, going on to be enthroned as Pope in 1024. At his enthronement, he changed his name to John, after the baptist, due to his great admiration and almost hero-worship of the man. He ascended with good expectations, yet only to be murdered by hordes of dissenting peasants only eight years after his enthronement. But he certainly fills the saying, "A diamond in the rough".
